Robot Lab

Central Robotics Laboratory at the Electronics Research Institute

Description

We present to you the Central Robotics Laboratory at the Electronics Research Institute. The lab features a collection of the latest robots from major global robotics companies. It is well-known that robots have numerous applications in various fields and have become a crucial component of the Fourth Technological Revolution. This is why the institute is keenly interested in this laboratory. The lab operates in two parallel directions. Firstly, it conducts robotics research in collaboration with specialized researchers in the field with an applied focus, contributing to the acquisition of research experiences in robotics for Egyptian scientists. Secondly, the lab operates in an educational direction, training university students and those studying in the field on the programming and operation of the latest robots for various tasks.
The lab houses a variety of robots capable of performing different tasks, with the most significant being an industrial task robot. This robot can be used as part of an automated production line in a factory. The robot has six axes that enable it to move freely and perform various tasks. The industrial robot can be programmed to perform precise tasks using a manual control handle. Additionally, the lab has a mobile robot capable of carrying and delivering weights from one place to another. Ongoing research is being conducted on the mobile robot to enable it to move in an unfamiliar environment, avoid both stationary and moving obstacles
