Laboratory Vision:
The vision of the Photonics and Optical Communications Engineering Laboratory is to create the infrastructure for a brilliant research team and brilliant laboratory capabilities in the various fields of photonics and optical communications sciences so that the laboratory will be able to contribute to the strategic plan of the country in the hub of information technology, communications, and space.
Laboratory Mission:
Preparing applied research and research projects and providing technical consultations in the field of photonics and optical communications to cope with the communications and information technology revolution.
Assisting research centers affiliated with production and service units in solving the scientific problems they encounter in the field of photonics and optical communications engineering.
Training students, graduates, and research staff in various workplaces in the field of photonics and optical communications engineering.
Services provided by the lab:
- Designing prototypes for optical measuring devices.
- The laboratory provides technical consultations to telecommunications companies working in optical communications services and companies working in laser and photonics devices.
- Preparing curriculum for universities and technological institutes.
- Providing training for university and engineering institute students in the field of optical communications and laser electronics.
