Engineer Raafat Hindi explained that this agreement completes the path of cooperation with the Institute, where a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Institute of Electronics Research, and the Centre for Environment and Development of the Arab Region (Sidari) in 2021; to build the cod There is a need to safely handle and reuse expired electrical and electronic parts, which is an order Which will contribute to opening up jobs for youth and saving in the cost of importing modern equipment, the signing of this agreement is in line with the state's interest in climate change issues and working to reduce carbon emissions resulting from such waste, especially with Egypt's readiness to host the summit of the Climate cop 27 this coming November.
On her part, Dr confirmed. Sherin that several work axes have been implemented under the auspices of this protocol, where the Electronics Research Institute has finished preparing educational content focused on developing the skills of dealing with electronic devices from unlocking, testing parts and reusing what is suitable for those components to assemble met devices. The report concluded that the Electronics Research Institute and Sedari Center are under contract to create an entrepreneurship incubator in the field of integrated and rational management of e-waste, and qualification to establish small businesses in this field.
