Vision: The Department of Informatics Research consists of two main labs: the Machine Intelligence and Computational Linguistics Lab, and the Cybersecurity and Privacy Research Lab. The Machine Intelligence and Computational Linguistics Lab aims to integrate the study of artificial intelligence with computational linguistics and specializes in computer vision and education research. On the other hand, the Cybersecurity and Privacy Research Lab aims to contribute to the resilience of Egyptian cyberspace and develop international performance indicators in the fields of cybersecurity and privacy in Egypt. This includes the development of research, projects, and systems in this field, in addition to providing technical consultations.

Mission of the Department: The mission of the department includes several goals, such as researching the latest developments in the department's specialized areas and improving performance through research conducted by department members and graduate students. It also involves using research to guide scientific research in solving problems and implementing projects that meet the needs of society. The department aims to collaborate with government entities, industries, and startups to provide support and consultations in the field of cybersecurity and privacy.
