The report stated that the signing of the contract came in line with the Ministry’s strategic plan on the importance of research centers and institutes cooperating with various state agencies and sectors in implementing national projects, and within the framework of the Egyptian government’s implementation of the Sustainable Recycling Industries Project for electronic waste, which was launched in 2016 between the Egyptian government represented by The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Swiss government, represented by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss government
in continuation of the path of fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Institute, and on the sidelines of the sixth meeting of the Supreme Committee to follow up on the cooperation agreement between Egypt and Switzerland regarding this project. Dr. explained. Sherine said that the signing of this contract is considered a continuation of the implementation of the institute’s strategic plan, and the activities and axes that were agreed upon in the cooperation protocol signed between the three parties in 2021, noting that this protocol resulted in three contracts to implement its various axes, including the aforementioned contract, adding that it was agreed upon. The next meeting of the Supreme Committee for the agreement between Egypt and Switzerland will be held at the headquarters of the Electronics Research Institute
