DR. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the importance of integration between educational, research, development and industrial institutions, and other local and international institutions and organizations, within the framework of implementing the axes of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, which pays great attention to activating the role of universities, centers and research institutes in serving society. and the surrounding environment, by achieving integration between them; In a way that contributes to addressing all developmental, economic and societal problems facing every geographical region in Egypt.
In this context, the Electronics Research Institute, headed by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, President of the Institute, a cooperation protocol with the Care Misr Foundation for Development, headed by Dr. Nihal Al-Quwaisni, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees; With the aim of implementing possible activities and initiatives targeting future young men and women; To play an effective role in confronting societal challenges and promoting technological progress.
Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader said that the signing of the cooperation protocol between the two sides comes within the framework of the Electronics Research Institute’s keenness to empower Egyptian youth and create suitable job opportunities for them, through qualifying and training young people and developing the services provided to them, as well as overcoming all obstacles facing them, expressing her happiness with the signing of the cooperation protocol. With the Care Misr Foundation for Development, which has a major role in supporting and qualifying young people before joining the labor market.
The head of the Electronics Research Institute added that the cooperation protocol aims to support ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in all projects, activities and initiatives targeting Egyptian youth, in light of the state’s interest in empowering young people of both sexes and making them active members of society and providing a safe environment for them socially and economically, noting the important role. Which is carried out by the Institute’s “Science and Technology City for Electronics Research and Industry” in supporting entrepreneurs, technology incubators and emerging companies.
For her part, Dr. indicated. Nihal Al-Quisni pointed out that the cooperation between the Institute and the Foundation comes within the activities of the project to develop the financial capabilities of young men and women in Greater Cairo, which is funded by HSBC Bank, stressing that within the framework of this cooperation, Care Egypt, with its extensive experience in the field of social development, will provide visions and resources to support research and innovation initiatives, provided that Managing the Electronics Research Institute (ERI) by providing its expertise in the field of electronics, communications and information technology to innovative young men and women to implement creative solutions and innovations.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Care Misr Foundation for Development expressed that this fruitful cooperation will lead to the development of technologies resulting from the ideas of young male and female entrepreneurs to promote sustainable development, as well as enhance the general welfare of Egyptian society.
