Reviewed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented a report submitted by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, regarding the Institute’s signing of a cooperation protocol with the British University in Egypt. With the aim of supporting investment opportunities in the outputs of scientific research and entrepreneurship, especially in the field of digital transformation, applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and nanotechnology applications, and enhancing the contribution to comprehensive and sustainable economic development through joint policies and programs between the two parties.
The report explained that the signing of the protocol came in light of the implementation of the Egypt Strategy 2030, the objectives of which are to create an encouraging environment for science, technology and innovation, and to link scientific research with industry and civil society, and in line with the objectives and mission of the Electronics Research Institute in developing and stimulating an environment supportive of industry and scientific research, and training and qualifying young people in accordance with to labor market needs.
Dr. indicated. Sherine pointed out that the signing of the protocol comes within the framework of a group of programs and initiatives that the Institute pays great attention to achieving integration with various centers, research institutes and universities. With the aim of cooperation and exchange of experiences by providing technical and technical support expertise in areas common to both sides.
For his part, Dr. praised Mohamed Lotfy, President of the British University, in cooperation with the Electronics Research Institute in many areas of common interest, the most important of which are: technological incubators, the science oasis, and various training fields, in addition to the possibility of advancing joint cooperation projects, such as emerging science and technology projects that serve development plans in Egypt.
